Announces Junior Golf Scholarship
Program
Eight Scholarships Win Be Awarded in
2008

Lake
of
Isles
and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal
Nation announce their 2008 Junior Golf Scholarship Program.
The scholarship program will be awarded to eight junior golfers who
are interested in playing golf at a competitive level.
The junior recipients will receive personalized instruction,
playing privileges and unlimited use of the practice facility.

Isles
and the Tribe are very interested in supporting the growth of the game
among our young people,” said Archie Cart, General Manager,
Lake
of
Isles
. “Over the past couple of years, this program has helped elevate the
scholarship winners’ game at all levels.
The program is designed for juniors who are serious about the game
of golf and playing it at a very competitive level. The program gives
junior golfers an incredible opportunity to develop stronger fundamentals
through on-going professional instruction, practice sessions at the
Golf
Academy
and playing privileges on the North Course.”
The
eight scholarships are open to boys and girls between the ages of 10 and
17 years old. Applicants will be evaluated on character, integrity,
passion, and their potential for success at a highly competitive level.

Selected
applicants will be test on their skills on April 20 and April 27, 2008,
with final interviews conducted between April 29 and May 2.
Scholarship winners will be announced on May 5, 2008. The
recipients will be eligible for program benefits from May 11, 2008 through
September 30, 2008.
The scholarship
recipients will receive the following:
Ø
Weekly practice and
training sessions with a Lake of Isles Golf Academy instructor.
Ø
Complimentary
“standby” playing privileges on
Lake
of
Isles North Course
and reduced fees for accompanied adult guests.
Ø
Unlimited use of the
Lake
of
Isles
practice facility.
Ø
Lake
of
Isles
golf bag, polo shirt, wind shirt, cap
and balls.
