67th Junior Amateur Championship

67^th Connecticut Junior Amateur Championship  

Watertown Golf Club   July 14 - 17, 2008

ELIGIBILITY:

Amateur golfers:

·         Who have not attained age 18 on or before July 14, 2008.

·         Holding an active USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 15.0 under the men’s USGA Handicap System from a CSGA member club.

·         In agreement with General Tournament Policies listed below.  

Entry fee ($70).  Note: If this is your first application of the season, please include $10 Championship Player’s Fee (Total $80) 

Completely executed entry must arrive by 3:00PM,  June 25th.  

SCHEDULE

Qualifying Round – Monday, July 14 – 18 hole stroke play to determine 32 qualifiers. In the event of a tie for the last spot, a hole-by-hole play-off will be held immediately following the qualifying round.

Match Play – General numerical draw be used.

Tuesday, July 15:       AM First Round, 18 holes; PM Second Round, 18 holes

Wednesday, July 16:  AM  Quarter-Final Round, 18 holes; PM  Semi-Final Round, 18 holes

Thursday, July17:      Finals, 18 holes

In the event of a tied match, winner shall be decided by hole-by-hole play-off.       

  CADDIES & TRANSPORTATION:  Contestants must carry their own bags at all times.  No pull carts allowed.  The committee reserves the right to modify this rule. Spectators are not permitted near contestants during matches or qualifying.

  PRIZES:   Champion through quarter-finalists receive merchandise credit from Watertown Golf Club.
