21st Mid-Amateur Championship

21^st Connecticut Mid-Amateur Championship

Woodbridge Country Club       August 25-26, 2008

ELIGIBILITY:

Amateur golfers:

·         Age 25 or older as of August 25, 2008.

·         Holding an active USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 6.4 under the men’s USGA Handicap System from a CSGA member club.

·         In agreement with General Tournament Policies listed below.  

Entry fee ($110).  Note: If this is your first application of the season, please include $10 Championship Player’s Fee (Total $120)

COMPLETELY EXECUTED ENTRY MUST ARRIVE BY 3:00PM, July 21^st  

LOCATION:

Sectional Qualifying- 18 holes. For all except exempt entrants.   21st Mid-Amateur Exemptions

August 4 – Tallwood CC 

August 5 – River Oaks GC

August 11 – Suffield CC  

Total number qualifying from each site will be determined after entries close.  

FORMAT:

Championship – Woodbridge Country Club

Monday, August 25, 18 holes, low 30 plus ties qualify for final 36 holes on Tuesday, August 26; leaders may be reassigned at end of AM round.  In the event of a tie, the Mid-Amateur champion shall be decided by a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play.  

CADDIES AND AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION:  Players may use automotive transportation during either the Sectional Qualifying or Championship proper.  Player may carry his own bag or employ a caddie.   

PRIZES:  Champion through 7^th place finisher will receive merchandise credit from Woodbridge Country Club.
