The CSGA Rules of Golf
School will be hosted at Grassy Hill Country Club on February 27 & 28,
2010. The instructors are Malcolm
McLachlan, Director of Rules and Competitions and Jeff Witherwax,
Director of Rules Education.
Both days will begin
sharply at 8:00 A.M. and end at approximately 5:00 P.M. On Sunday afternoon there will be an optional test consisting of 50 questions on the Rules of Golf.
Twenty of the questions will be done without any open materials and
the remaining 30 can be done with any material available (except
computers). The 2-hour test
will begin at approximately 2:00 P.M.
In order to be certified as a CSGA Rules Official, one will
need to take the exam and achieve a minimum score of 40 correct answers.
The cost of the
Workshop is $125 which will cover study aids including the USGA Decisions
Book & Rule Book, a continental breakfast both days, and a deli lunch
both days.
PGA Members will
receive sixteen MSR credit hours for attending this Rules workshop.
Please register by
February 5th, 2010. Because of
space limitations, we will need to limit registration to 75-80.
