Jeff Hedden & Jim Gentile Win Third Consecutive Two Man Team Championship

May 3, 2010 – The 2010 CSGA Tournament season began the same way as the previous two seasons have begun, with a win by Jeff Hedden & Jim Gentile at the Two Man Team Championship hosted by Black Hall Club.

Jeff Hedden, a member of Black Hall Club and reigning CSGA Player of the Year, and Jim Gentile, a member of Rockledge Golf Club and two time CSGA Mid-Amateur champion, only made four bogeys all day in route to a five under par 137.  This victory gives Jeff Hedden his sixth consecutive victory in partner events including the past three CSGA Four-Ball Championships.

Bill Hermanson, a twenty-two time Black Hall club champion and tournament honoree, and Dave Szewczul, Tunxis Plantation, were the runners-up with a two round total of 139.  The low morning round trophy went to Nick Cook and Tim Kane after an opening four ball round of 68.  The low afternoon round trophy went to Brian Bardier and David Jones after an impressive alternate shot round of 70.

The CSGA would like to thank Black Hall Club for hosting this annual event and Lexus of New Haven for their support of the CSGA and the Two Man Team Championship in Honor of Bill Hermanson.
