EXEMPTION CATEGORIES

1) CT Amateur and CT Open Champions of the past 10 years, (2011-2020)

1A) CT Amateur and/or CT Open Champions prior to 2001

2) Russell C. Palmer Cup Champions of the past 5 years (2017-2021)

3) New England Amateur Champions of the past 5 years (2016-2020)

4) Champions of the following CSGA events in 2020: Junior Amateur, Mid-Amateur, Public Links, Senior Amateur & Senior Match Play

5) Players that advanced to the Round of 16 in the 2020 Connecticut Amateur

6) The top 5 amateurs in the 2020 Connecticut Open

7) Players who successfully qualified for the following Championships: 2021 US Open Sectionals, 2020 US Amateur or 2020 US Mid-Amateur

8) The top 20 players in the 2020 Dick Tettelbach Player of the Year Rankings

9) The top 5 players in the 2020 Dick Siderowf Senior Player of the Year Rankings

10) The 2021 CIAC State Champions in Divisions I, II, III, IV and/or Open

11) Hartford Golf Club is allotted 2 exemptions to be used at their discretion

About the CSGA

Founded in 1899, the CSGA is the country's oldest state golf association and, as an Allied Golf Association of the USGA, provides stewardship for amateur golf in Connecticut. In addition to administering handicaps for over 40,000 members at 181 member clubs, the CSGA conducts more than 85 days of competition throughout the year for golfers of all ages, genders, and skill levels. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the CSGA supports a variety of golf organizations within Connecticut, including the Connecticut Association of Golf Course Superintendents, Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference, Connecticut Section PGA, Connecticut Women’s Golf Association, CSGA Scholarship Fund in honor of Widdy Neale, LPGA-Amateur Golf Association, Southern New England Women’s Golf Association, and The First Tee of Connecticut.
