COURSE: The Norwich Golf Course is an 18-hole championship golf course facility located in Norwich, Connecticut which features a challenging 6,228 yard design constructed over undulating terrain. Designed by architects Tull & Tull, Norwich Golf Course opened for play in 1926.

HISTORY: The Connecticut Public Links Championship honors the true spirit of public golf and is open to Connecticut amateur golfers who, since January 1st of the current year, have been bona fide public-course players, and who hold a USGA Handicap index not exceeding 9.0.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: 36-hole stroke play championship. All players will play 18 holes on Wednesday, August 16th, with the low 30 players and ties will advance to the final round on Thursday, August 17th. The lowest 36 hole total will be declared the champion.

About the CSGA

The CSGA functions as an extension of the USGA and provides stewardship for amateur golf in Connecticut. Founded in 1899, it is the country’s oldest state golf association and conducts over 50 Championships, Qualifiers and One-Day Tournaments throughout the year, in addition to administering handicaps for over 40,000 members and 181 member clubs. As a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization, the CSGA supports a variety of golf organizations within Connecticut, including the Connecticut Women’s Golf Association, Southern New England Women’s Golf Association, The First Tee, the Connecticut PGA, and the CSGA Scholarship Fund in honor of Widdy Neale.
