EXEMPTION CATEGORIES

1) CT Mid-Amateur Champions of the past 10 years (2009-2018)

2) Champions in the past 5 years of the following events:  CT Open (2015-2019), Palmer Cup (2015-2019), Amateur (2015-2019), Sr. Amateur (2014-2018), Sr. Match Play (2015-2019), Public Links (2015-2019) and New England Amateur (2015-2019)

3) The top 15 finishers and ties in the 2018 Connecticut Mid-Amateur Championship

4) The top 5 amateurs in the 2019 Connecticut Open

5) Runner-up of the following 2019 CSGA events: Amateur and Senior Match Play

6) Players who successfully qualified for the following Championship: 2018 US Mid-Amateur, 2019 US Open Sectionals and 2019 US Amateur

7) The top 20 players in the 2018 Dick Tettelbach Player of the Year Rankings

8) The top 5 players in the 2018 Dick Siderwof Senior Player of the Year Rankings

9) Shuttle Meadow Country Club will receive 2 exemptions to be used at their discretion

About the CSGA

The CSGA functions as an extension of the USGA and provides stewardship for amateur golf in Connecticut. Founded in 1899, it is the country’s oldest state golf association and conducts over 50 Championships, Qualifiers and One-Day Tournaments throughout the year, in addition to administering handicaps for over 40,000 members and 181 member clubs. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the CSGA supports a variety of golf organizations within Connecticut, including the Connecticut Women’s Golf Association, Southern New England Women’s Golf Association, The First Tee, the Connecticut PGA, the Connecticut Association of Golf Course Superintendents and the CSGA Scholarship Fund in honor of Widdy Neale.
