EXEMPTION CATEGORIES

1) Champions of the past five years of the CT Senior Amateur (2013-2017) and the CT Senior Match Play Champions (2014-2018).

2) All past CT Amateur, Open, Palmer Cup and/or Mid-Amateur Champions

3) New England Senior Amateur Champions of the past 5 years (2014-2018)

4) 2018 Super Senior Gross Champion

5) 2018 Senior Match Play semi-finalists

6) Players who successfully qualified for  any USGA Championship (including US Open Sectionals) in either 2017 or 2018

7) Players who completed the 2nd round of the 2017 Connecticut Senior Amateur

8) As of the closing date, the top 20 players in the Dick Siderowf Senior Player of the Year points rankings

9) Shorehaven Golf Club will receive 2 exemptions to use at their discretion.

* Exempt Players MUST meet eligibility criteria & apply by the closing deadline.

About the CSGA

The CSGA functions as an extension of the USGA and provides stewardship for amateur golf in Connecticut. Founded in 1899, it is the country’s oldest state golf association and conducts over 50 Championships, Qualifiers and One-Day Tournaments throughout the year, in addition to administering handicaps for over 40,000 members and 181 member clubs. As a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization, the CSGA supports a variety of golf organizations within Connecticut, including the Connecticut Women’s Golf Association, Southern New England Women’s Golf Association, The First Tee, the Connecticut PGA, and the CSGA Scholarship Fund in honor of Widdy Neale.
