1) Past CT Open Champions 

2) CT Amateur Champions of the past 5 years (2015-2019)

3) The top 15 finishers and ties in the 2018 CT Open Championship.

4) New England Amateur Champion(s) of the past 3 years (2016-2018)

5) 2019 CT Amateur Runner-Up

6) Champions of the following Championships: 2018 Mid-Amateur, 2018 Senior Amateur, 2018 Public Links, 2019 Russell Palmer Cup, 2019 Junior Amateur,  2019 Senior Match Play and 2019 CT Senior Open

7) Players who succesfully qualified for the 2019 US Open

8) Top ten (10) players in 2018 Dick Tettelbach Player of the Year point rankings

9) Top ten (10) Professionals in the 2018 CT PGA & MET PGA Player of the Year standings

10) Director of Golf/Head Professional of the following 2019 CSGA Championships and qualifying sites: Open, Amateur, Mid-Amateur, Women’s Open, Public Links, Sr. Amateur, Sr. Match Play, Palmer Cup, & Junior Amateur

10a) Director of Golf/Head Professional of the following 2019 USGA Qualifiers conducted by the CSGA: U.S. Open, U.S. Junior Amateur, U.S. Amateur, U.S. Mid-Amateur, U.S. Senior Amateur, U.S. Senior Women's Amateur, U.S. Amateur Four-Ball and U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball

11) Torrington Country Club will receive 2 exemptions to be used at their discretion

* Exempt Players MUST meet eligibility criteria & apply by the closing deadline

** Director of Golf/Head Professional exemptions are not transferrable

*** Exempt players in category 1 will remain eligible regardless of residency or membership in the CSGA

About the CSGA

The CSGA functions as an extension of the USGA and provides stewardship for amateur golf in Connecticut. Founded in 1899, it is the country’s oldest state golf association and conducts over 50 Championships, Qualifiers and One-Day Tournaments throughout the year, in addition to administering handicaps for over 40,000 members and 181 member clubs. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the CSGA supports a variety of golf organizations within Connecticut, including the Connecticut Women’s Golf Association, Southern New England Women’s Golf Association, The First Tee, the Connecticut PGA, the Connecticut Association of Golf Course Superintendents and the CSGA Scholarship Fund in honor of Widdy Neale.
